PROFOUND INTENT

Profound Intent was an American spoken word, rap, pop group comprising frontman LaPret alongside Kie'Arra "Mizz Redz" Pretlow and Devan "Devy B" Brockenberry. Formed in early 2005 in Oxon Hill, Maryland, Profound Intent members began their musical endeavors in their pre-teens as a trio, comprising LaPret, Brockenberry and Jahnae "Misty" Johnson performing together as a spoken-word act. By 2006 the group became a rap and singing quartet with Mizz Redz. The group rose to recognition in 2007 for their positive rap lyrics and image during a period of frequent violence in the District of Columbia.
